Along with local First Nations, Parks Canada and a group of concerned Sidney Islanders, the Sidney Island Restoration Alliance (SIRA) is committed to the successful implementation of the Sidney Island Ecological Restoration Project (SIERP) including the eradication of invasive European Fallow deer.
Who is the Sidney Island Restoration Alliance?
SIRA is a group of current Sidney Island land owners who include past Presidents of Sallas Forest Strata Council, past and present Co-chairs of the Ecological Stewardship Committee, past Chair of the Deer Management Committee and others concerned with the ecological restoration of Sidney Island.
